After the Tone is so worth it!!! They were super communicative leading up to our wedding, shipped everything to us promptly with clear instructions inside the box, made it really easy to ship back to them, and they got our recordings back to us fairly quickly. Listening to our recordings after the wedding brought us SO MUCH JOY! We loved that from little children to elderly family members and everyone in between, it is so easy for everyone to get involved and leave you a message. I am so impressed with After the Tone! They were so accommodating! We had the physical phone at our wedding but unfortunately it was not turned on. Rob, from After the Tone reached out to us and although it wasn't their fault, gave us a partial refund as well as set up a virtual call center for our guests to call into after the wedding which was so kind of them! I'd definitely recommend having After the Tone as a part of your wedding!

Really loved this clever version of a Guest Book during our wedding, and I think it'll give us more tangible and sentimental memories than any other kind of Guest Book could have. I'm so grateful to have our parents' voices captured on there, for posterity. And just the look of a rotary phone is unmatched. Feels classy, vintage, etc. The owners of this company were available and happy to answer any questions, which was very appreciated! I would suggest appointing a special, trusted someone to be responsible for starting the recording and ending the recording during your wedding day so you don't have to worry about it -- the set-up is not necessarily super easy, but this company gives you the tools (video, instructions, ability to ask them questions) to figure it out. For us, it was worth it! Our vendor staff told us they were familiar with the After the Tone rotary phone + recording device and could set it up for us (so maybe you'll have the option too) but we opted to appoint the task to a friend we knew wouldn't be drinking and would drive the phone home and keep it safe.

Highly recommend getting an After The Tone phone for your event! We decided not to get a videographer because we thought they all looked cheesy, but still wanted a way to "record" and capture the moment. We put the phone out in a redwood grove at our welcome party and set up the provided signage to point people in that direction. We were nervous about people messing up, or it capturing random sounds, but the voicemails came back clean within a few weeks. We made the mistake of listening to the voicemails while we were driving, and I nearly crashed the car because I was laughing and then crying, then laughing again, listening to our guests and reliving the night, which got progressively messier. My only regret is not making it mandatory for everyone to do one :) Thanks for creating such a unique and valuable service!

Walk- don’t run- to get After the Tone for your wedding. This was hands down one of the most memorable pieces of our wedding day- and the process was a piece of cake. Guests were obsessed with the non-traditional way of leaving a message- I think my husband and I agreed that while a typical guest book may collect dust, this is a piece that we can come back to and listen to over and over again. Bailey and the crew have seamless communication- from the very first inquiry I made about the service until we received our Zip drive with all of our voicemails- it was literally the least stressful part of planning the wedding. Our guests loved picking up the phone, saying a silly message, and then hanging up. While some messages were heartfelt, as the night grew later, and the alcohol began to flow, let’s just say that the messages got more and more hilarious. I would not hesitate to recommend After the Tone to anyone. We got married last summer and I still have guests talking about it. If you want a fresh idea for collecting fun memories from your big day, use After the Tone.
