This Unique Wedding Idea Turned Into the Couple’s Favorite Keepsake

When your meet-cute starts with a Facebook comment and leads to a dog named Bear being your “ring BEAR-er”, you know you’re doing love right. Lacey and Ryan “Dubs” are the definition of fun, and their wedding day at Bear’s Best Las Vegas was bursting with color, EDM-inspired energy, and heartfelt memories—plus a few hilarious voicemails captured forever on their audio guest book.

From Facebook Friends to Forever

Lacey and Ryan have a very modern, albeit adorable, love story. 

“We met off the Illinois State University incoming freshman Facebook page,” Lacey told us. “I saw Ryan comment on someone’s post and he caught my eye.” 

A little messaging, a shared love of Spring Awakening Music Festival, and a perfectly timed text later, they met up IRL, bonded over music, and… never looked back. Fast forward: a college journey shared, a move across the country to Las Vegas, and a romantic proposal later, it was wedding time.

All the Springtime Wedding Feels

With spring florals as the theme and the perfect Vegas weather, Lacey and Ryan’s day was filled with intention and joy—from doing all the photos pre-ceremony (so they could actually enjoy cocktail hour!) to keeping the dance floor bumpin’ all night long.

“The wedding day vibe was pure sunshine and happiness,” Lacey said. 

And of course, Bear the dog did steal the show. 

“Our dog Bear walked down the aisle as the ring BEAR-er to the song Bare Necessities. We kept the song a secret and when he turned the corner the lyrics hit perfectly—everyone started laughing and singing!”

When the Guest book Table Turns into a Party

Call us biased, but their light blue rotary phone made a showstopping addition to their wedding guest book table—and the voicemails they collected? Pure gold.

“Everything went as planned,” said Lacey. “The voicemail quality was better than we expected and very clear. We were shocked at how many voicemails we actually got—and they got funnier as the night went on.”

(Shoutout to their guests for bringing chaotic charm to the mic, one hilarious drunk voicemail at a time.)

Their audio guest book became more than just a fun wedding idea—it became a keepsake they’ll hold onto forever. 

“It’s super special to hear our loved ones’ voices,” Lacey said. “We truly can’t pick our favorite voicemail because they’re all our favorites.”

Other reception highlights include guests doing “The Worm,” super sentimental speeches, and a limbo contest… What, FOMO? Us?! 😅
