Philadelphia Eagles Use After The Tone to Rally Fans in Brand Activation

See how Visit Philly turned heads with a Philadelphia Eagles fan-fueled audio guestbook activation. A creative twist for corporate events, brand launches, and team celebrations.

Visit Philadelphia featured After The Tone audio guest books in their Bird Call activation to celebrate the Eagles’ big NFC win, and help rally the fans before the championship game in the Big Easy.

With the Philadelphia Eagles being championship-bound this year, Visit Philly wanted a unique and special way to interact with their football fanbase. That’s where After The Tone comes in. 😎

While our phone guest books are all the rage at weddings, and even baby showers as of late, our company had its big debut in sports when Visit Philly reached out after discovering us on social media.

When Eagles’ Fans Call, After The Tone Answers

Visit Philly placed five different rotary phones at iconic areas around the city the week before the big game. Fans could find a phone, leave a voicemail of encouragement for their beloved team, and hope for a chance to hear their message featured on social media. But, what if fans couldn’t make it to an in-person audio guestbook location? We got ‘em covered. 

In addition to the five phones, After The Tone set up a custom phone number (via our virtual guestbook option) so fans could make a Bird Call from their “nest”, or of course, from the nearest sports bar. Visit Philly even had coasters made for all the local bars that included the info of how to call in and participate via your personal device.

Over the course of two days, the city of Philadelphia left voicemails for their players and coaches left and right, with even the mayor stopping by to cheer her team on. 

“As you prepare to take the field for Superbowl 59,” Mayor Cherelle Parker says. “Please know that our entire city stands united behind you!”

Among the 1,500 voicemails collected (you read that right😱), a few of the favorites were selected for use in hype videos on Instagram and Visit Philly’s website to get the city ready to cheer on their birds. Check out one of the VIDEOS HERE.

A Phone Guestbook For Any Occasion

While everyone thinks of an audio guestbook as a fun twist on the traditional wedding guestbook, these types of activations have become increasingly popular in the past year for After The Tone.
